Healing Breakthrough in the Courts of Heaven
My guest blogger is Stephanie Easley, who shares a testimony of healing back pain. This article is being shared with the author's permission. It was originally posted here.
Ever since I watched David Joseph, aka Praying Medic, on Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural, I’ve found the Lord leading me to minister and pray for healing amongst many of my chiropractic patients. This is when I first began to speak to my patients about the Lord and how He’s led me to pray for some of them. Sometimes He leads me to just pray, and other times He has me share a word with them as well. He seems to have a strategy behind all of this. At times He wants me to share a word first, then other times He wants me to share a word after He’s healed them. All of this plays out during the same visit.
A couple of months ago, the Lord sent me a 22 year-old female with severe low back pain, and severe pain radiating down her left leg. She was in tears and could barely move. It was one of the worse cases I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been doing this for 14 years. Her back was so hot, it defrosted 2 gel ice packs while she waited to see me. Our attempt to transfer her from the treatment table to the adjusting table was unsuccessful; so in order to make some progress, I figured I should pray for healing first this time. Normally, since my new patients have sought out chiropractic services, I serve in this capacity before asking them if I can pray for their healing.
I explained to her how I usually work; but since she was in so much pain, I asked if I could pray for her first. She answered, “Yes”. Since she was so emotional, I started out by praying for her emotional healing, then moved on to pray for the back and leg pain to leave. I made sure to be very detailed when I prayed for the anatomy involved. After praying for about 5-10 minutes, I asked how she felt; but unfortunately, there was absolutely no change. This is uncommon when I pray for people. Their pain usually goes away, or decreases considerably, and rather quickly I might add. When this didn’t happen, I thought, “Uh-oh, this is going to take longer than I expected.”
I knew I was dealing with something tough, with both the patient, and the sister who brought her in. The patient continued to wail and cry every time she moved, and the sister who brought her in started to feel anxious. Then, instead of praying for relief and healing for the patient with me, the sister became increasingly agitated over the entire situation. Something definitely manifested on the sister as soon as I started praying for the patient. She clearly felt uncomfortable and became increasingly unhappy with me. She eventually lost her temper and caused a scene by yelling and carrying on, about what specifically, I really can’t remember. I continued to pray and by the grace of the Lord, was unfazed and unrattled by this distraction, however, I thought to ask my angels, in the spirit, to remove the strongholds of the enemy – the nuisance, attempting to stop me.
Within minutes of my request, the sister jumped up out of her seat and stormed outdoors, yelling expletives along with the phrase, “We didn’t go to church today!”. It was at this point, that I started to walk around the table the patient was laying on, and the Lord showed me in big, black letters, the word “WITCHCRAFT” across the entire length of the patient’s body. After I saw this, I thought, oh boy, this is all new territory for me. It was all very surreal. The Lord definitely stepped up my game on this day.
At some point, the sister came back inside, and was calm, as if nothing had ever happened. This was short-lived, however, because the same scenario played out again, except this time the exchange between the sisters escalated. Immediately following the sisters’ departure the second time, (which occurred after I asked my angels for a second hand), I knelt down beside the patient, and with all sincerity, looked into her face and finally said, “I know what will work.” I tried to just educate her on the court of accusations held in heaven, but stopped abruptly after I heard the Holy Spirit tell me, “Walk her through it.” It was at that moment I realized The Holy Spirit wanted me to walk her through an actual court case right there.
Obediently, I asked her to picture herself standing in front of God in His courtroom, and to ask Him what the enemy is accusing her of in relation to her back. I told her that whatever she heard, whatever she remembered, to confess to it and to ask for forgiveness. I repeated this again. Then I told her to ask God that she be found not guilty, and for Him to make His judgment known to the enemy. Because of Jesus, we are always found not guilty, and the purpose of His judgment is to contain the enemy. She was fully open to this and seemed to be following along. After everything we all went through by this point, I’m sure she would have done just about anything. This was a brief engagement, and the patient did all of this in her head. Then after a few moments, I saw the look on her face change. The persistent anguish and torment that disabled her, visibly loosened its grip. Then it was finished!

“For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit: to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit; and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits: to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.”I knew for a fact that she would be leaving with at least some relief, so I needed to discern what the Lord’s strategy was going to be this time. I understood that He wanted me to share a word with her as well, and it wasn’t going to take just 5 minutes either. Admittedly, I’ve had some trouble in this department lately…At times, I end up talking to an attentive patient for well over an hour, about the incredible things that most people just skim over in the Bible. This backs me up with patient care and note-taking like you can’t imagine. While writing this, I’ve just realized that Praying Medic most likely had a time limit with his patients, since they were usually being transported in the back of an ambulance. I need to remember this in the future.
1 Corinthians 12:8-12

The patient continued to wail and cry every time she moved, and the sister who brought her in started to feel anxious. “For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down,”After three, tearful long hours of going nowhere, within 5 minutes of standing in the mobile court of accusations, I was finally able to move her into the position I needed to adjust her spine on both sides. Within 15 minutes of her court case, Hallelujah! the patient’s pain was about a 1-2 out of 10! The air definitely felt lighter, which prompted smiles to form on all of our faces. It was as if the weight of the heavy fog lifted and the big, beautiful sun finally burst through to bless us. Then I heard in the spirit, “Ding, dong, the witch is dead.” I thought, how funny. The Holy Spirit can definitely be funny. Ultimately, I won’t lie, this was a very draining and exhaustive learning experience, but in hindsight was all well worth it. Praise Jesus, it worked!
Revelation 12:10
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”In the spirit, this was a fierce battle riddled with an outcome of uncertainty, and not knowing exactly what I was dealing with was intimidating. Although it ended on a positive note, I still couldn’t get over the feeling that there was still something dark that needed to be dealt with. The entire experience weighed heavily on my heart for several days afterward. This caused me to wonder what God was preparing me for. After seeking His direction further, He told me that this was all part of my training, and urged me to seek further guidance from those experienced with defeating this type of enemy.
Isaiah 55:7
“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.”Then the Lord showed me something that made me laugh. He took me back to the point when the sister was causing a scene. He showed me, in the spirit, two angels lifting her up by the underarms, and jerking her up out of her seat, then promptly walking her right out the front door. I’m not sure what occurred outside after that, but seeing that Spirit-led intervention sure was funny!
Psalm 24:10
“He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, That you do not strike your foot against a stone.”(Authors Note: I want to mention that I haven’t always known I could see or hear in the spirit. It wasn’t until I learned how to recognize this gift that I realized what I was seeing or hearing at times was actually happening in the spirit. My senses were definitely heightened after I started seeking a closer relationship with Jesus, followed by reading, Seeing In The Spirit Made Simple, by Praying Medic, as well as participating in the Engaging God Program taught by Mike Parsons, and Spirit Academy courses taught by Reeni Mederos. I’ve also come to believe that God has given this ability to everyone. We all have the ability to hear God. We just need to learn how to recognize and cultivate this gift, and it all starts by asking God to remove the painful emotions attached to our soul. These painful emotions are what blocks our spirit from seeing and hearing Him.)
Psalm 91:11
“I ask God to sheild my patient and her sister with His protective covering and with the knowledge of their authority through Christ Jesus. I ask that He release His blessings and fill them with His Light and Glory.” ~Stephanie EasleyRelated:

Keys to Divine Healing
For the supernatural Christian, there's nothing more frustrating than seeing one person after another healed and then praying for someone who isn't. You release power. You exercise authority. You kick out a demon but the symptoms remain. It's natural to wonder what happened. What am I missing? What am I overlooking? The keys to divine healing continue to elude you.
I'd like to offer an analogy that may shed light on the real nature of the problem:
When a patient arrives in the Emergency Department, whether they have a gunshot wound or a fever, a systematic evaluation is done to determine what their problem is and what should be done about it. A doctor does a physical exam and obtains a history from the patient. Vital signs are obtained and diagnostic tests are done. An X-ray or CT scan is obtained. An ultrasound may be done and bloodwork is ordered. The physician gathers as much information as possible then arrives at a diagnosis and puts together a treatment plan based on their findings.
This is the standard approach to emergency medicine. When used properly, it's an effective way to diagnose and treat someone you know nothing about. It's effective because it's systematic. The interview, assessment, and tests are standardized. There's little variability from one patient to the next. Which means a doctor is less likely to overlook something, accidentally.
Because this is how I was trained as a paramedic, I use a similar approach for healing.
Increasing our effectiveness in healing and deliverance is a matter of developing a standardized approach. We begin by creating a list of tools that we know are effective and then making sure we're employing all of them. The list of tools would include such things as identity, faith, power, authority, and emotional healing. Standardization doesn't remove the Holy Spirit from the equation. Quite the opposite. One of the tools is revelation from God about the specific problem we're facing.
A few years ago, I created a list of keys to divine healing. I wrote a blog post on the 8 that I had come up with at the time. The list soon expanded to 12 and then to 15 items. Today, it stands at 18.
I recorded a message where I discuss the keys to divine healing that I use today. If you know what they are and how to operate in them, your effectiveness in healing will dramatically increase.
The message is available as an MP3 download on my website. If you'd like to check it out, click on this link.

Traveling in the Spirit and Portals
I live in Arizona, which is home to the city of Sedona. A beautiful town nestled in the red rock cliffs which is famous for its “energy portals.” People travel from around the globe in search of a supernatural experience with these portals. I’ve visited Sedona a number of times and I’ve read some of the research that’s been done on the source of energy found at the portals. Most of the research suggests that the portals owe their energy to a unique presence and arrangement of rocks and minerals such as iron oxide and quartz which cause circular flows of magnetic energy in certain locations.
Such portals may provide entertainment for the curious and some opportunity for spiritual travel, though testimonies of the later are difficult to find. Many people experience spiritual travel without accessing one of these portals. If you don’t happen to live near one, your opportunities to use them are limited. The use of such energy portals for spiritual transport is impractical for most people. And even if they were more widely available, I don’t think they’re the best means to accomplish our goals. The kind of portals we have access to as believers are more powerful, more reliable, and safer than these energy portals.
As it relates to spiritual travel, a portal is generally understood to be an entry and exit point between two realms. It’s really nothing more than an opening or a doorway. A portal could be a passageway between the earth and heaven or between any other two places. In the fourth chapter of the book of Revelation, we read where the apostle John was invited to ascend through a door (or portal) into heaven to witness the things God wanted him to see and hear:
“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, ‘Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.’
“Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.”Rev 4:1-3
This is a wonderful example of what traveling in the spirit can be like for the believer. For those who are not experienced with traveling the spirit, a good place to start is to understand first, that God wants us to come into His dwelling place and meet with Him. The words “come up here” go out to all of His children. If we want to enter into the heavens we must, like John, become “in the spirit,” which is to say that we must become more aware of the spiritual world than we are of the physical one. Once we are aware of the spiritual world, we simply set our heart on God and expect (by faith) that He’ll reveal Himself to us the way He did to John.
Whether or not you see a door open in the heavens, you can travel there any time you like. It was nice that John received a personal invitation and that the Lord showed him the doorway but we have an eternal invitation. Jesus said He is the door that anyone can go through if they desire to visit heaven or meet with the Father.

Wisdom for Social Media - Periscope
God has been speaking to me about connecting with people through live video, so I've begun teaching via live video on a platform called Periscope. Some of you are familiar with Periscope but some aren't. I know that new social media platforms can be intimidating, so here's what you need to know if you want to join me:
First, you don't need to have a Periscope account to watch my videos. You can view them on the Periscope website without logging in. Just bookmark this link: Praying Medic Periscope and you can view my videos whenever you want.
There are a couple of advantages to creating a Periscope account (and it's easy to do): If you download the periscope app and follow my account, you'll receive a notification when I go live. And if you catch me while I'm broadcasting live you can leave comments and questions in the live chat and I can answer them.
Periscope is not a perfect platform. Users do experience connectivity problems now and then. If you're trying to watch a live broadcast and you can't connect, the easiest solution is to close out of the video, wait a few seconds and then rejoin.
I'm considering doing 2 live messages a week—probably on Sunday afternoon or evening and either Wednesday or Thursday evening. I hope you'll consider joining me

The Not So Obvious Nature of Breakthrough
Breakthrough.
That moment of sudden victory.
And a word that's become cliché.
It's hard to find a prophetic word these days that doesn't promise breakthrough. But after hearing the word for years, many people have given up on it. They've been disappointed too often and don't want to have their hopes dashed again.
I wonder if our disappointment isn't because we don't understand what breakthrough really is.
I received a prayer request yesterday. The request was for a blessing. A woman asked that her niece would never suffer hardship, never be attacked, and always be protected from harm. I know what it's like to want your children to be blessed and protected. I've prayed for my kid's safety and protection many times. But I've come to realize that safety and protection don't always do the kind of work God needs to accomplish His purposes.
It would have been easier for Jesus to avoid the temptation in the wilderness. And the betrayal of Judas. And the scourging. And being nailed to a cross. But all those painful, humiliating things were necessary. They were part of the process of learning obedience and being conformed to the will of the Father. After he had endured it, he stepped out of the tomb, more alive than He'd ever been.
The breakthrough had arrived.
A bystander who knew nothing about the Lord, on seeing Him emerge from the tomb might have assumed the resurrection was an event disconnected from a process. A random miracle. But we know better. Without the suffering and pain, the breakthrough never would have happened.
How often have we looked at a person who achieved a great victory and wrote it off as divine favor or luck—never considering what it cost them? Many times, what seems to be a sudden breakthrough is merely the last stage of a long, grueling process. Emerging from a lonely and difficult walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
Not everything is a process, but many things are. When we're sick, it's often because we've ignored eating right and exercising which could keep us healthy. But we don't want all that. We just want the sickness gone. When we're stressed out, we don't want to change our circumstances. Change is a hassle. We want the peace. Without the process.
God is more interested in our growth than our comfort. We want a life that's free of difficulty. He wants transform. The difficulties we suffer are intended to cause growth. (I would make an exception for sickness and injury, which seem to lack redemptive power. If they're meant to transform us, Jesus did more harm than good.)
Maybe the process is a humbling situation designed to rid us of pride. Or a weekend in the psychiatric ward where He heals us of shame. The process is uncomfortable. But if we avoid it, we never grow. And if we don't grow, we're robbed of our breakthrough. When we submit to it, when it's done its work of transformation, we get our breakthrough.
If you're looking for breakthrough, you might also be on the lookout for a process that God wants you to submit to. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

The Word of Wisdom
This is an excerpt from my book Hearing God’s Voice Made Simple.
The word of wisdom is one of the gifts (or manifestations) of the Holy Spirit mentioned in first Corinthians chapter 12. It’s wisdom about a situation that we would not normally have. It’s similar to the word of knowledge. The difference between them can be seen when we understand the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is information about something. Wisdom is knowing what should be done with the information—the action we should take once we know the facts. Wisdom is knowledge correctly applied.
Before I go into a job interview, I usually ask God for any revelation He wants to give me about the interview process and I spend a few minutes in silence waiting for His reply. I sometimes receive images in my mind about things I’ve said in past job interviews that I might mention. Sometimes I’ll receive images of calls I’ve responded on in the past. Sometimes I’ll see flashes of conversations I’ve had with coworkers. Since God knows the mind of the interviewer and what they might be looking for in a candidate, I take these impressions as suggestions about things I should be ready to discuss in the interview.
Sometimes a word of wisdom will instruct you about something you should not do. One day my partner and I transported an elderly man who fell at home. Based on his symptoms, it seemed as though he might have had a hip fracture. We placed him on a plastic backboard to make it easier to lift him onto the gurney. My partner asked if I was going to start an IV and give him morphine. I observed our patient and noticed that as long as we didn’t move him too much, he seemed to be tolerating the pain pretty well. I received a thought impression in my mind which seemed like a message from God that said, “He doesn’t need morphine.”
I wasn’t certain that it was God speaking. But I proceeded as if it was, and we transported the man without giving him morphine. During the transport, his pain gradually subsided. By the time we got to the hospital, the pain was almost gone. Having seen people healed in the ambulance before without prayer, I wondered if it was another case of the Holy Spirit healing someone by simply manifesting His presence. It’s difficult to explain how placing him on a hard plastic board and driving him over bumpy roads would make him feel better. I believe I received a word of wisdom telling me He would be healed if we simply transported him and allowed God to do the healing during the trip.
Words of wisdom can be given for just about any kind of situation. My family has a tradition of gathering in snowy locations over the Christmas holidays. One year it was decided we would be gathering in New York. From the moment I first heard the plan, I had a sense that something would foul things up. When my family asked if I was going, I politely declined. When they asked why, I explained that I had a feeling as though the weather was going to cause problems. Not understanding how God forewarns us about these things, they were disappointed. But I stuck by my convictions and stayed home. That Christmas, New York City received almost two feet of snow and experienced extremely gusty winds. Most of the main streets were impassable for days. The airports in the area were closed and inbound flights were diverted to other cities. Many outbound flights were canceled. Some of my brothers and sisters had to take extra time off work because they could not get flights back home until the mess from the snowstorm had been cleaned up. I believe I’d received a word of wisdom from God. I didn’t just receive information about an approaching storm. He told me what plans to make in order to avoid having travel problems.
After I had published the first two books in this series, God began giving me dreams suggesting that I mentor other authors. One night, I had a dream about one author who was writing an excellent book. He became discouraged and considered giving up on the book completely. From my perspective in the dream, I could see that the enemy was not happy about the potential impact the book would have, so an effort was organized by the enemy to discourage him and prevent the book from being published. In the dream, I knew my part was to encourage the author and help him see the book through to completion. Right now I’m the administrator of an online group of more than 500 writers. I personally mentor some of the authors God has shown me in dreams. It’s another case where God didn’t just give me information about someone, but specific actions I should take in order to help them.
The word of wisdom is one of the least mentioned, but most useful gifts given to us by God. I hope this article has helped you to understand a little better how He can instruct you through it.

Christian Spiritual Travel or Astral Projection?
There is much debate in the church today over what some people call "Christian Spiritual travel." Many are not convinced that it is of God. They suspect that it is in fact astral projection or some other occult practice. In this video I provide testimonies from people who practice both. I list the features found in each practice and at the end of the video I provide a summary of them. Using the list of features I allow you to decide for yourself whether this is Christian spiritual travel or astral projection.

Emotional Healing: Fragments and Alters
This is an excerpt from my newest book Emotional Healing in 3 Easy Steps.
It’s been said that time heals all wounds, but the truth is that time doesn’t heal emotional wounds. Rather than being healed over time, emotional trauma can plague us our entire life. Emotional trauma creates a wound in our soul much like a flying piece of metal can cause a wound to our skin. Although our skin has a way to heal the wounds it receives, our soul doesn’t have the ability to heal itself.
Emotional trauma has the potential to affect the entire soul, but God designed a way to limit the damage of emotional trauma by allowing the soul to create what are known as fragments. A fragment is a part of the soul that contains the memories and emotions of a traumatic event. It’s like a part of our personality that’s been frozen in time. Fragments prevent the wounded parts of the soul from becoming the dominant influence over the core of the soul. In effect, the fragmenting of the soul compartmentalizes the wounds and minimizes the damage that can be done to the rest of the soul.
Fragments usually only have awareness of a single event or a string of repeated events and their related emotions. The fragment normally lies dormant in the soul until an event occurs that is reminiscent of the one that caused the fragment to be created. When one of these events happens, the fragment can be triggered and it may take control of the soul. When this happens, the person responds the way they would at the age they were when the fragment was created. If the fragment was formed as a toddler, the person may crawl on the floor or try to hide behind furniture. If the fragment was created as a teenager, the person may act like a rebellious 13-year-old. The emotions they display are not appropriate for the current situation. Instead, they are the emotions that were experienced at the time the fragment was created.
A soul fragment will assume control when they perceive there is a threat to the individual. The actions of a soul fragment are usually an overreaction to the situation because they have less understanding of what is normal and acceptable behavior when compared to the core of the personality. When the threat goes away the core of the soul regains control, the fragment once again becomes dormant.
I know a woman who has a terrible fear of going into basements. When I asked why she had this fear, she said it was because she had been molested by her uncles in a basement when she was a child. At the time she was molested, a part of her soul was wounded which created a fragment dominated by fear. Today, whenever she thinks about going into a basement, the fragment is triggered and she feels fear.
A similar but different part of the soul that is created by trauma is known as an alter. Like a fragment, an alter retains memories and emotions of specific events, but unlike fragments, alters can have unique personalities of their own that are distinctly different from the core of the personality. A person with many alters is usually diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, or what was once called Multiple Personality Disorder. A severely traumatized person can have hundreds, or even thousands of alters.
When an alter is triggered by an event, the individual’s will and emotions come under the control of the alter. The person behaves in correspondence to the personality of the alter, while the core of the personality is rendered ineffective. The core personality sometimes feels like an observer to what is happening to them, instead of the participant. Some describe it as like having someone drive their car while they watch from the rear seat. Sometimes the core personality is completely unaware of what’s happening to them—a condition known as dissociation. When the event passes and the core assumes control again, it’s not unusual for them to have no idea what they said or did during the episode.
The goal of emotional healing is to heal the fragments and alters and to reintegrate them into the soul, preventing future episodes of painful emotions and dissociation.

Are Miracles, Healing and Deliverance "Peripheral Issues?"
A common teaching in the church today is the idea that the working of miracles, healing the sick and casting out demons are "peripheral issues" that can distract our attention away from the "real issues" believers ought to focus on. Some would go as far as to say that anyone who spends too much time learning about them is deceived. But is this true?
The first thing Jesus did after choosing the twelve was to send them out with instructions to heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead and proclaim the kingdom of God (see Matt. 10: 7-9). And here's something to consider: This commission came before they had any real training in the miraculous. Their training was on the job—they learned as they went.
After the twelve returned, with reports of the great things they had seen, Jesus sent out the seventy into nearby villages, telling them, "Heal the sick that are there and tell them the kingdom of God has come near you." (See Luke 10:9.) The seventy were sent into these cities before Jesus visited the cities himself. They went to announce the arrival of the kingdom and the Messiah, through healing and the working of miracles.
To reinforce what he had already told them—before he ascended into heaven—he reiterated in the great commission what he wanted his disciples to do. You may have doubt as to whether the instructions he gave to the twelve and the seventy apply to you, but the the great commission is widely accepted as the instruction Jesus gave to believers of all ages. Mark's version of the great commission includes these instructions: “These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name …They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:17a,18b)
It seems like the issues Jesus wanted his disciples to focus on could not be any more clear. Rather than being peripheral issues, the working of miracles, healing the sick and casting out demons were intended to be central parts of the work he expected his disciples to do. And nothing has changed since then.
In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy." As one of his disciples, you have all the authority you need to heal the sick and work miracles. The power you need is provided by the Spirit of God, who lives inside you. You simply need to learn how to release that power. Power is released when we exercise faith. When you're faced with a need, believe in your heart that the thing you desire will happen, do not doubt, and you will see the power of God manifest.
As I've focused on the supernatural manifestations of the kingdom, rather than being drawn away from God, I've been drawn closer to him. I've learned so much about his ways and the incredible love he has for mankind and I believe the same can be true for you.
